Today I will go into one of the tools available for teachers and learners.  The tool I will discuss is an easy to use tool that can assist educators in managing their classroom all in a single place.  Google Classroom is primarily used to manage teaching and learning by assisting in organizing the daily task and organizing materials and resources used in the classroom.  Google Classroom can be accessed on any device, anywhere, and at any time.

Google Classroom allows educators to create classrooms in order to organize and distribute assignments and quizzes.  It enhances communication between the teacher and the students by providing fast and reliable information and feedback directly to the student or by email.  It allows the teacher to communicate grades to the student and assist in tracking student progress.

Another capability that is offered in Google Classroom is the ability to collaborate within the app.  It allows the teacher to schedule, post, comment, or facilitate sessions with one student, a group or with the entire class.

I do not have much experience with Google Classroom, but I do know several colleagues that have kids that use Google Classroom and have heard nothing but positive comments.

The best thing about Google Classroom is that it is a free app that belongs in the G-Suite for Education.

  4. Hi Billy,
Google has a lot of useful features, but it is a pity that I don't use much when I am in China. I will continue to follow your blog and learn more about Google tools for teaching and learning.

  5. Billy,

I have heard about Google Classroom but have never messed with it. I am always looking for some sort of organizational tool for both my kids and myself.

  7. Billy,

Interesting post, I took a look at Google Classroom, I logged in with my google account but since there was no class for me to join I didn't really see anything. I can see how it might be useful, one of us could create a class in Google Classroom and then invite everyone else to join, it takes a code the teacher has to join and then we would have an online classroom. As a way of sharing information between students and teachers I can see how it might be useful in modern society. Great post, thanks

  8. Billy,
Great post! I personally love Google classroom. I have been on the student end and teacher end of Google classroom. I think it is a great program to use, and students really love using it! It makes it easy and organized for teachers and students.
