This week I will deep dive a little on the google forms. I briefly discussed this topic a few post ago when discussing the tools in the G Suite for Education. I wanted to talk about the various things you can do with google forms as I just benefited from it last week.
One of my responsibilities in a group project was to create an online assessment. I used google forms to create this online assessment and it allows you to create your own questions with your own answers. You can upload graphics/pictures to improve the quality of your questions. Customize your design. You can create multiple choice, true or false, or matching questions. This was my first time using this tool and it was not difficult to use, and it is free.
Some additional ideas on how to use or what to use google forms for:
1.
Surveys
2.
Quizzes
3.
Q&A
4.
Invitations
5.
Contact Information
6.
RSVPs
7.
Sign up rosters
8.

Billy,
ReplyDeleteI have been a Google head for a few years, but have just now started clicking the more apps box to explore. There are so many web based functional tools within google, it make you wonder why DoD has not switched over from MS. Thank you for the heads up on the ability to make surveys. I have one more to develop for another class.
Great post.

DeleteThanks for visiting and commenting on my block. Hopefully, Google forms helps you develop the survey you need.
Billy
Billy,
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that you could use GOOGLE forms to complete this type of assessment.
We worked on our assessment form, but never gave the google forms a second though! Actually, it never
even occurred to use the website/software.
What made you look into google forms to complete the assessments?
I'm curious how you stumbled upon the use?

Tony,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. Prior to this class I had no idea how many tools are available for teaching and education that Google offers. I actually did a little research in September when I posted about the tools available under the G Suite for Education, so I had an idea on what Google forms has to offer. But I really learned a lot more this past week when I developed the online assessment. The great thing is that it is free and easy to use.
Billy
Billy,
ReplyDeleteYou have really brought me into the light with Google forms. I had never used them until I did the evaluation you made for our group project. It was a very user friendly product with a lot of potential uses. Thanks for the information.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this information. Google Suites for Education seems to have an endless amount of tools and service you can use to tailor to meet your needs. One of the best things seems to be how user friendly they are. You don't need to a lot of technical skills to navigate and use the applications they have. Great post.

ReplyDeleteGreat information your posting to your blog...if only I know this before the group project. It definitely seems like G-suites has a ton of resources available for learning and very beneficial as an emerging technology that one doesn't really think about. I have sinced visited your blog, even though I don't comment all the time- I do look, bookmark, and visit those topics your are sharing with us. Thank you.

Billy,
ReplyDeleteI could of use this information a few weeks. I created a student survey for on of my team projects. I thought it was going to be easy but it was a little more difficult than I thought. Using Google Forms might have made the process a little easier. I did research survey questions on Google but writing them to fit my survey took longer than I initially thought. Thanks for the info.

Billy,
ReplyDeleteI love using google forms. I love the simplicity of it and how easy it is to navigate. I used it a lot throughout my undergrad, to create tests and quizzes for some of my classes.
Thanks!
